The next step is to register a domain name. Godaddy.com is as good as any but there are hundreds of places you can buy a domain name from. Just search google for domain names. Try to choose a dot com since these are most common and you clients will be able to identify with a dot com easier. Also try to pick a domain name which describes your company with your company name as part of the domain. What would Yahoo be if their domain name was fungames.com Instead their domain name is yahoo.com
Next you need to create a website. Like me you may have never created a website so naturally you do not think you can. Well you can quite easily with the right tools. At the bottom of this page are some links to my website that I created for free in a few hours using a program by Yahoo. You can access it at web.com. Creating a website is key for online success. I tried to avoid doing it but now that it is done I wish I had done it at the very beginning.
Now that your website is created you need to drive traffic to it. The very best way is writing articles. I have spent countless hours trying to find quicker better ways to generate traffic but the best is article marketing.
The next step is to get your articles out on the internet and the best way to do this is to use a service I have found called Unique Article Wizard. You can find their link on my website. I cannot say enough about how this will drive traffic to your site. With this service you can submit unlimited articles each month to up to 9,000 different article directories and websites. Let me just tell you that this will create thousands of one way links back to your website which will quickly move you up in the search engine rankings.
The last step I cannot stress enough is to write and submit an article two or three time a week. If you are consistent you will have long term success.
To summarize the steps to starting a small business online you need to first decide what you are going to do. Next register a domain name and then build a website. After that it is just a matter of driving traffic to your website and the best way I have found is by writing articles and submitting them with Unique Article Wizard. Doing this 2 or three times a week consistently will provide a steady stream of traffic to your website for years to come.
